Job description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Perform electrical design and engineering tasks for the Engineering phase of oil and gas projects including FEED and Detailed Engineering.
  2. Develop electrical system designs including single-line diagrams, cable sizing, load calculations, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
  3. Prepare and review technical specifications, data sheets, and material requisitions for electrical equipment and systems.
  4. Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project requirements, and international codes and regulations (e.g. IEC, NEC, IEEE).
  5. Conduct technical evaluations of vendor proposals and participate in equipment selection and procurement processes.
  6. Interface with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment of electrical designs with overall project objectives.
  7. Perform power system studies such as load flow, short circuit analysis, and protection coordination using software tools.
  8. Support technical reviews, design audits, and client approvals to ensure design deliverables meet ADNOC's requirements.
  9. Prepare and review electrical deliverables including cable schedules, termination diagrams, and layout drawings.
  10. Provide technical support during design reviews, HAZOPs, and project audits.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  2. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in electrical engineering within the oil and gas industry.
  3. Proven experience in the Engineering phase (FEED and Detailed Engineering) of large-scale oil and gas projects.
  4. Previous work experience on ADNOC projects is mandatory.
  5. Proficiency in electrical design software and tools such as ETAP, AutoCAD, and other relevant applications.
  6. Strong knowledge of ADNOC standards, procedures, and approval processes.
  7. Familiarity with international electrical codes and standards (e.g. IEC, NEC, IEEE).
  8. Immediate availability for joining in Abu Dhabi.
