As a cashier, your main role will be to manage transactions efficiently, provide exceptional customer service, and ensure the smooth functioning of the checkout counter. You’ll be the face of the store, ensuring every customer walks away satisfied with their shopping experience.
- Greet customers and assist with inquiries at the checkout counter
- Scan products, process payments (cash, card, wallet), and issue receipts
- Ensure accurate billing and handle returns or exchanges as per policy
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter
- Count money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts
- Ensure pricing is accurate and promotional offers are applied correctly
- Follow loss prevention procedures and report discrepancies
- Work with other team members to stock shelves or assist during rush hours
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve basic complaints
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in cashiering or retail preferred but not mandatory
- Basic math and computer skills
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic or Hindi is a plus)
- Customer-friendly attitude and ability to work under pressure
- Presentable and punctual
- Monthly Salary: AED 2,000 – AED 2,800
