Job summary

A leading technology firm in the UAE is seeking a Testing Manager to oversee software testing for core banking systems. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in software testing, strong stakeholder management skills, and a background in defect lifecycle management. This full-time role requires a Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science and offers a dynamic environment for leading cross-functional teams. Immediate joining is expected within two weeks.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • 5 years in a test management role for core banking or large enterprise systems.
  • Hands‑on experience with Finacle core banking implementation or upgrades.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure test coverage and analyze defect leakage rates.
  • Facilitate timely closure of high‑severity defects.
  • Manage successful completion of UAT and migration cycles.
  • Ensure production readiness and system stability post‑go‑live.

Education & Certifications
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field.
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent preferred.
  • PMP / Agile certifications are an advantage.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Requirements
  • 10 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • 5 years in a test management role for core banking or large enterprise systems.
  • Hands‑on experience with Finacle core banking implementation or upgrades.
  • Strong expertise in defect triage and defect lifecycle management.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of core banking modules (CASA Loans Deposits Payments).
  • Experience with test management tools (JIRA Zephyr etc.).
  • Understanding of integration testing and data migration validation.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks is an advantage.
Leadership & Communication
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent reporting and presentation capabilities.
  • Experience working with vendors and offshore teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Test coverage and defect leakage rates.
  • Timely closure of high‑severity defects.
  • Successful completion of UAT and migration cycles.
  • Production readiness and stability post‑go‑live.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in banking digital transformation programs.
  • Exposure to regulatory and compliance environments.
  • Experience in large‑scale system migrations.
