Job summary

A leading diversified regional business in Dubai is seeking a supply chain specialist to manage strategic purchasing and optimize inventory. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Supply Chain, at least 2 years of experience in supply chain roles, and proficient in SAP. Responsibilities include releasing orders, tracking inventory, and driving process improvements. This role offers the opportunity to enhance operational efficiency and ensure stock health across various models.

Overview of the Role

This role ensures the right balance between cost efficiency and high service levels through strategic purchasing, demand planning, and inventory optimization. You will drive stock health, improve turnover, reduce excess/obsolete parts, and support seamless supply operations by collaborating closely with suppliers, logistics, finance, and internal stakeholders.

What You Will Do
  • Release daily/weekly/monthly purchase orders and ensure supplier confirmations.
  • Track dispatches, follow up on backorders, and coordinate forecast changes with suppliers.
  • Manage budgets as per the order schedule and ensure approvals per DOA.
  • Maintain stock availability through run‑out risk analysis and ordering for new models.
  • Review inventory policies and target service levels.
  • Monitor aged, excess, and obsolete stock with timely actions for reduction.
  • Drive stock provision forecasting and dead‑stock disposal initiatives.
  • Prepare advance shipping notifications and coordinate inbound control with logistics.
  • Monitor cost charges and facilitate finance processes for payments.
  • Handle LC arrangements, customs claims, ESMA/RFID approvals, and insurance declarations.
  • Develop dashboards that enable proactive process monitoring.
  • Lead kaizens and cost‑reduction projects to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Escalate process deviations and support continuous system improvements.
  • Review system alerts and apply best‑practice processes to improve productivity.
  • Analyze stock mix, order patterns, and sales trends to maximize availability and sales.
  • Conduct detailed stock analyses (ageing, category, material group).
  • Track VOR and air orders and recommend improvements in order efficiency.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly dashboards for stocks, sales, orders, and receipts across brands.
  • Review non‑moving/excess stocks at branches and maintain return‑trend dashboards.
Required Skills to Be Successful
  • Strong MS Office proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Projects).
  • Solid problem‑solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience in creating management reports and presenting to senior leadership.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies.
