Job summary

A leading educational institution in Dubai is seeking an Administrative Officer to support the Alumni & Student Careers Office. The successful candidate will perform various administrative duties, respond to student inquiries, and assist in the preparation of events. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of relevant experience, as well as fluency in Arabic and English. Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with a customer focused environment.
  • Highly computer literate including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluency in Arabic & English.
  • Good administration skills.
  • Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general administrative duties allowing the department to function smoothly.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to student and staff concerns.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for students.
  • Perform administrative duties with students, producing reports as requested.
  • Ensure the Career Centre is presentable and attractive.
  • Record minutes of meetings.
  • Develop and maintain a central activity calendar for the Student Careers Office.
  • Document and archive important documents.
  • Support with Information Management of the Alumni & Careers Office.
  • Update the Careers website materials.
  • Generate purchasing orders for the Unit.
  • Assist in preparation for workshops and events.
  • Work closely with the Manager to complete special projects.
  • Support ad-hoc Career projects as directed by line manager.
