Overview
As part of its mission to be a global trade enabler, DP World Trade Finance seeks to offer a Trade Finance products to Corporates (Importers/Exporters) to ease their working capital crunch and help them by making financing options available at competitive terms.
The main purpose of the role is to conduct Credit due diligence, underwriting, approval, monitoring and recoveries of Corporates interested in Trade Finance with DP World Trade Finance. The incumbent will be responsible for managing a portfolio of large complex accounts while adhering to the credit policy and processes in place. The Credit Manager needs to ensure that there are no surprises and resulting credit losses in the portfolio allocated and provide guidance to other team members. The Structured Credit Manager would report into the Head of Credit who reports into the SEO of the business.

Job Accountabilities
- Credit due diligence on Trade Finance borrowers for management, financial, industry and business risk.
- Strong understanding of structured credit and the related solutions, mitigants and lending parameters.
- Identifying credit and operational risks in trade finance documentation for a broad range of trade related transactions, including receivables & payables financing, import/export financing, invoice discounting/factoring, commodity trade financing, inventory financing, buy-sell transactions and risk participation (funded & unfunded).
- Understanding and analysis of financial statements, early warning and collections.
- Ensuring compliance with DP World’s internal policies, processes and procedures.
- Pro-actively manage portfolio risk exposure, collections, remediation and recoveries
- Identify key risks, and drive alignment on risk mitigation actions.
- Interacting with external service providers (risk consultants, recovery agents, insurance companies, brokers,
- Assisting the relevant transactions/cases to ensure credit risk support and innovative solutions are provided in line with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s / Post Graduate degree from a University of repute.
- 12+ years of credit risk experience in structured lending to large corporates
- Prior experience working in Financial Institutions- FinTech, Banks or Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFC)
- Sound knowledge of trade finance credit risk management and superior market intelligence.
- Experience with cross border transactions and corresponding risk implications.
- Ability to detect, assess and mitigate credit risk.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills; Strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills.
- Keen attention to detail, adaptability and pragmatism; ability to manage an active caseload and prioritize effectively.
- Self-driven, results-oriented with a proven track record in credit & risk matters.
