We are seeking a Structural Civil Engineer in Dubai with a strong background in structural engineering and a comprehensive understanding of UAE construction standards. As part of our Engineering Department you will work on designing, reviewing, and supervising structural projects to ensure safety, compliance, and durability. This is a full-time position with a competitive negotiable salary.
Key Responsibilities
- Structural Design & Analysis
- Develop structural designs and technical calculations for residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
- Utilize AutoCAD and other tools to create detailed engineering drawings.
- Ensure designs are compliant with UAE building codes and UAE Standards.
- Project Coordination
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure cohesive project development.
- Evaluate site conditions and liaise with site offices to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation including design reports, calculations, and drawings.
- Ensure adherence to Society Card, Trakhees Green Card, and any other relevant certification requirements.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure all structural elements meet local and international standards.
- Construction Oversight
- Provide guidance during construction phases, conducting site inspections and verifying work aligns with approved plans.
- Identify and resolve onsite challenges promptly, ensuring structural integrity and accountability for project milestones.
- Safety & Risk Management
- Advocate and comply with health and safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Recommend improvements or modifications based on risk assessments to enhance project outcomes.
Requirements
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 4-5 years of hands‑on experience in structural engineering within the construction industry, preferably with projects in the UAE.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and other structural design/analysis software.
- Familiarity with modern construction methods and industry‑standard materials.
- Solid understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations in the UAE.
- Certifications and Compliance:
- Knowledge of local certifications and safety standards (e.g., Society Card, Trainees Green Card) is highly desirable.
- Commitment to following UAE health, safety, and environmental guidelines on all site operations.
- Analytical and Problem‑Solving Skills:
- Ability to analyze structural designs, identify potential issues, and provide innovative and practical solutions.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining accuracy in designs and calculations.
- Project Coordination and Management:
- Proven track record of effective project coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple project tasks while meeting strict deadlines and quality standards.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to report project progress effectively and coordinate with team members, contractors, and clients.
