MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE TEAM LEADER

Job Responsibilities 1
  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on rolling mill equipment (e.g., gearboxes, motors, hydraulic systems).
  • Assist in installing new equipment, machinery, and systems.
  • Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Inform rolling mill technicians on mass variance set by quality control.
  • Oversee the mechanical maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Troubleshoot-related issues, making necessary adjustments and repairs to ensure
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules for machinery and equipment.
  • Adhere to safety regulations for working with heavy machinery, including lockout/tagout procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in safety training sessions, audits, and initiatives aimed at maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
  • Prepare reports on maintenance metrics and present findings to management. Document all roll repairs and modifications, ensuring traceability for quality control purposes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency in maintenance operations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members during maintenance and repair activities.
