Job Description

Parsons is looking for an experienced Stakeholder Coordinator to join the team in Abu Dhabi as part of the Stakeholder management team. The candidate shall provide a full and comprehensive service in regard to stakeholder management, permitting/NOCs, and interfaces with internal teams and third parties on behalf of the business and its projects, which could include:

What You\'ll Be Doing
  • Advise on all local bylaws and regulations.
  • Take responsibility for all statutory approvals for all master planning, infrastructure, public realm, Building permits services, and all other parts of the design as outlined in the scope of services document.
  • Undertake the required code compliance during submitting the designs for approval.
  • Develop project stakeholder Management plan and trackers, flowcharts which fully considers the requirements of the project, identifying milestone approvals on the critical path.
  • Act as architect of record and undertake any required activities to fulfil this role.

The following is a non-exhaustive list; written to provide candidates with a better understanding of the type of duties they will be expected to carry out on a daily basis:

  • Advise on all regulations, codes, planning, and building acts.
  • Undertake all liaisons with clients, Design Manager, Project Managers and design team and other regulatory bodies.
  • Preparation of and submission of drawings, reports, studies, and other documents required for submission and approval ensuring revision of the submitted package in terms of authority requirements.
  • Represent the design team in interfacing with and make applications for all necessary NOC\'s/ permits, including any necessary coordination between utility agencies.
  • Undertake all necessary translations between English and Arabic, and vice versa, as required.
  • Establish a permitting strategy and monitor all permitting activities throughout the duration of the project.
  • Prepare a matrix that can be used to track progress on a weekly basis for all NOCs and permits. Information to be captured on this matrix shall be detailed, including comments/close-out actions and expiry dates for each permit/NOC.
  • Organize presentations and discussions with all authorities with the assistance of client teams to apprise them of any operational considerations.
  • Highlight any potential risks that might affect the project program /Project overall progress.

Communications and working relationships
Government entities and master planners, PMCs, contractors, engineering design offices, construction contractors, local service providers, etc. Management consultants, investors, other public entities, media/event management firms.

What required skills you\'ll bring
  • Minimum 5+ years relevant experience, similar scale initiatives/programs stakeholders/interfaces related background.
  • Bachelor of Engineering/Science preferred from an accredited local or international university; provision of registration with the UAE Society of Engineering.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English.
  • Technical knowledge of government entities\' requirements for approvals/permits and design/construction of facilities, utilities, infrastructure, and/or real-estate developments, along with related projects/deliverables.
  • Knowledgeable with authorities approving systems ( IDAS/Smart hub, town planning, CDP, MEPS etc.
  • Ability to work with a big team at the business and project levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills.
