Qualifications

• Valid nursing license/registration with relevant authority.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Cath Lab, ICU, or Cardiac Care Unit.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists during procedures.
• Prepare the Cath Lab suite.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and ECG.
• Administer medications and sedation.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure education.
• Maintain documentation of procedures.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and other interventional procedures.
• Prepare the Cath Lab suite, ensuring all equipment and instruments are ready and functioning properly.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs, ECG, and hemodynamic status before, during, and after procedures.
• Administer medications and sedation as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Provide pre-procedure education and post-procedure care instructions to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of procedures, medications, and nursing care.
• Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and sterile technique standards.
• Participate in emergency cardiac care, including Code Blue situations when required.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• Valid nursing license/registration with [insert relevant authority – e.g., DOH, DHA, MOH].
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Cath Lab, ICU, or Cardiac Care Unit.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a tertiary care or cardiac specialty hospital.
