Our client a well‑known Events organization in Abu Dhabi is currently looking for a Sr. Finance Manager.

They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join our team. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and risk management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting as well as a keen understanding of the events industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s objectives and drive profitability in the events industry.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes for events projects ensuring accuracy and alignment with client expectations and strategic goals.
  • Manage financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and tax compliance to ensure efficient and effective financial management.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics for events projects identifying trends and areas for improvement to optimize profitability and mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate with event planning and production teams to develop financial plans and budgets for client events ensuring adherence to budget constraints and profitability targets.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards as well as internal policies and procedures to maintain financial integrity and minimize risk exposure.
  • Supervise and mentor finance team members providing guidance and support to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and professional development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in finance or accounting roles with at least 5 years in a managerial position preferably in the events industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, practices and regulations with specific knowledge of financial management in the events sector.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems as well as Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools.
