Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Abu Dhabi is looking for an experienced Architectural Drafter to prepare detailed shop drawings and coordination documents. Candidates should have at least 8 years of drafting experience, with a focus on contracting in the UAE/GCC. Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory, while knowledge of Revit or BIM tools is a plus. This role requires timely delivery of high-quality drawings while adhering to all local authority regulations.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate architectural shop drawings based on design specifications site conditions and construction requirements.
• Develop coordination drawings integrating structural and MEP elements to ensure clash‑free execution.
• Modify and update drawings in response to site instructions RFIs and design revisions.
• Interpret architectural plans and specifications ensuring compliance with project and authority standards.
• Collaborate with engineers consultants and site teams to resolve design and construction‑related issues.
• Maintain proper documentation and version control of drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure drawings are delivered on time aligned with quality standards and construction programs.
• Adhere to local authority regulations (e.g. Dubai Municipality Abu Dhabi DMT etc.) and ensure compliance in all drawing submissions.

Key Qualifications

• Diploma in Architecture or a relevant technical qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of drafting experience with at least 5 years in contracting companies in the UAE/GCC.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit or BIM tools is an added advantage.
• Proven experience in preparing coordination and detailed construction drawings.
• Familiarity with UAE/GCC authority standards and local building codes.
• Ability to work under pressure meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Must be available to join within 2 weeks.
