Job summary

A global technology company is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to oversee Substation Automation Systems Testing and Commissioning in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of experience in commissioning SAS systems, a thorough knowledge of communication protocols, and strong customer orientation. Proficiency in English is required, and Arabic is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to manage medium complexity projects while adhering to quality standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years’ experience as a Commissioning Engineer of SAS system and products.
• Experience in large and medium complex projects, particularly IEC 61850.
• Proficiency in spoken & written English; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation and commissioning of Substation Automation systems.
• Represent the commissioning function at project meetings.
• Manage implementation of commissioning design changes and documentation.
• Conduct risk assessments during the commissioning phase.
• Develop and coach colleagues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Skills

Thorough knowledge of Substation automation systems

Understanding communication protocols (IEC101, IEC104)
