Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in building projects, focusing on cost control and commercial management.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, tendering processes, and cost estimation techniques.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage all cost reporting for building projects, including budgets, forecasts, and variations.
• Conduct cost analysis, risk assessment, and value engineering to control project costs.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers to negotiate and procure materials and services.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior quantity surveyors and project team members.
• Prepare and evaluate tender documents and contracts.

Skills

Advanced knowledge of quantity surveying principles and techniques

Experience in preparing and analyzing project cost estimates

Ability to manage financial aspects of construction projects

Proficiency in contract negotiation and administration
