Description

The role involves working on design and supervision projects associated with wastewater, stormwater, and water engineering. This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration, and construction management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project delivery and execution; project delivery planning and control.
• Determine budgets, timelines, and cost estimates for design and construction.
• Manage project financials and develop project programs and execution plans.
• Internal and external project reporting; contract management and reporting, including preparation of claims and variation orders, and extension of times.
• Oversee construction phase and liaise with contractors and developers; prepare contracts.
• Quality and HSE assurance.
• Ensure budget and schedule adherence; understand client requirements; coordinate with design managers across design stages.
• Review key deliverables, handle correspondence, solve design problems with engineers; liaise with teams.
• Prepare level-of-effort and price proposals for public and private clients; coordinate deliverables with technical and marketing teams.
• Client and stakeholder management, communication, and liaison.
• Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies.
• Other duties as requested to maintain business continuity.

Qualifications

• 18–20 years of minimum experience, including 5 years of consultancy experience in design of wet utilities projects from top International Engineering Consulting Design firms in Dubai.
• Experience working with Dubai Municipality and private developers in Dubai.
• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Chartered ICE or PE engineer.
• Professional certification or degree in Project Management.
• Excellent command of English, written and spoken.
• Ability to manage heavy workload with close attention to detail.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, review own work regularly while consistently meeting objectives.
• Strong team working capabilities; committed to working with all levels of management.
• Proactive approach, coordinating complex tasks, taking professional responsibility.
• Punctual, attentive, competent in adhering to company policies, procedures, working practices.
