Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Dubai seeks a skilled inspector to monitor piping and welding activities ensuring conformity to standards including SHELL DEP and ADNOC protocols. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering and over 5 years of experience in oil & gas inspection. Responsibilities include inspecting welds, verifying qualifications, and preparing detailed reports. Strong documentation and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of oil & gas inspection experience required.
• Experience with international codes and standards preferred.
• Certified welding inspection (e.g. CSWIP, AWS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect weld joints and piping installations.
• Verify WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections.
• Monitor welding processes and consumables.
• Prepare inspection reports and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with SHELL DEP standards.
• Coordinate with third-party and client inspectors.
• Support pre-commissioning and final walkdowns.
