Job description
JOB PURPOSE:
  • Middle office function responsible for the supervision of accurate record keeping and execution of all loan activities including: monitoring borrowing status preparing new borrowings rollovers rate sets conversions repayments prepayments Fee and providing instructions to operation to act financial transactions related to loan events.
  • Specialized unit responsible for overseeing the centralized Loan Administration functions and ongoing monitoring of the Syndication and LMA Bilateral Portfolio for the Corporate & Investment Banking across its Head office representative and International branches in different geographical locations.
  • Portfolio management Reporting audits and other related tasks within the Loan Administration Unit.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of loan products audit regulations Central Bank requirements and operational capabilities associated with administration of Syndicated facilities.
  • Database management for the portfolio handled. Activities include accurate compilation & timely updation of all Facility terms and conditions required for the ongoing monitoring & administration of facilities during its entire life cycle.
  • Review of LMA standard Islamic and conventional Facility Agreements to understand and implement of the commercial terms and conditions for ongoing monitoring of the facility
  • Provide technical support to Product partners and Coverage to manage the loan syndication activities of the Bank including the administration aspects for supporting the ongoing function required for this line of business.
  • Limit check in GLCMS in the system in line with approved product types terms & conditions rate structure fees & any other special instructions.
  • Acts as a centralized focal contact point for both external parties and internal stakeholders related to all Operational & Administrative matters for the Syndication portfolio.
  • Updation and Proper tracking of arrangement fees / upfront fees / Documentation fees and ongoing fees due on various facilities its calculations and due dates and timely followup with facility agents / coverage teams for receipt of payments and passing on necessary instructions to operations teams for booking the same.
  • Analyze and verify requests received for drawdowns repricing rollovers repayments etc. from Facility Agents related to the syndication & structured Finance portfolio and ensure timely execution and servicing of the same. Authorizing and approving internal memos prepared to operations team for effecting loan disbursements and outward remittances as per Agent Banks instructions.
  • Timely followup with external Facility Agent Banks for the receipt of notifications on amounts maturing or becoming due and for passing instructions to operations team for timely accounting and reconciliations of the funds received in the Nostro Accounts.
  • Handle syndication deals and nonperforming loans for banks core lending portfolio and ensure all loan related activities are carried out as per the approved terms and conditions
  • Monitoring repayment and limit amendment done accurately in the system.
  • Collaborating with IT on system enhancements as and when requirements
  • Prepare the daily / monthly reports for various activities / transactions processed by the department
  • Prepare memos to operations related to the portfolio
  • Coordinate with Coverage/CAD and Operational teams of International branches in different geographical locations for the administration of loans in respective locations.
  • Assist in internal and external auditing
Qualifications :

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce Accounting and Finance or related discipline.
Minimum Experience
  • 45 years relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 4 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in Loan middle office function.
