About the job:

We are looking for a curious and data-driven Category Analyst to support the Category function (the central business function) at Almosafer. You will work as a part of the Consumer Travel category team to execute key cross-functional projects designed to drive sustainable business growth across different products, sales channels, and geographies. You would be the right fit if you have a passion for understanding consumer & business interactions in an e-commerce environment and want to learn how to use data to influence purchase decisions. A data-driven mindset, a basic comprehension of the travel industry, and exceptional communication skills are key to success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis: Analyze data and derive insights to understand consumer behavior/patterns to identify opportunities to improve key business metrics.
• Performance Reporting: Monitor and report on daily, weekly, and monthly growth KPIs against targets, providing actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
• Tactical Actions: Ability to ideate and execute tactical interventions that can drive higher demand, conversions, and/or margins according to business objectives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with revenue, product & marketing teams to drive central business initiatives with category context.
• On Platform Merchandising: Assist in devising and executing A/B tests for in-funnel messaging to increase user engagement and sales.
• Market Monitoring: Track industry trends and competitor sales strategies to ensure Almosafer’s offerings remain competitive and relevant.

Profile Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in data analytics, marketing operations, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to generate and test hypotheses in diverse business situations with agility.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis techniques; proficiency in SQL is highly preferred.
• Strong familiarity with MS Office, specifically advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and PowerPoint.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Basic understanding of user funnels and A/B testing concepts.
• An analytical mind with the ability to translate complex data into clear takeaways.
• Previous experience within the travel industry or an e-commerce environment is highly advantageous, though not mandatory.
