To support the Engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC) stream of clean energy project proposal preparation from the planning to the execution stages, ensuring proper, cost-effective, and technocommercial solutions that achieve the lowest LCOE or the highest IRR possible.
Responsibilities:
- Manage up to four active projects simultaneously and contribute to the initiation of two projects.
- Support in preparing the bid technical strategy, including shortlisting technology and suppliers, and evaluating deviations for competitiveness.
- Lead the preparation of the EPC request for proposal along with the design team.
- Assist the supply chain team in preparing RFPs for key OEMs and participate in discussions and negotiations with OEMs regarding technocommercial aspects.
- Contribute to the EPC tender process and manage proposal preparations with multiple EPC contractors.
- Assist in the preparation of interim O&M offers and forecasts with relevant teams.
- Prepare EPC and O&M terms sheets from a technical/execution perspective, incorporating commercial/financial inputs.
- Develop technical annexes for EPC contracts and contribute to technical, delivery, and execution aspects.
- Guide EPC contractors on cost reduction through up-to-date solutions.
- Participate in negotiations of EPC and O&M agreements.
- Coordinate with procurement and OEMs to identify latest technology advancements in equipment like PV modules, WTG, inverters, and trackers.
- Review main equipment track records in coordination with procurement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize technocommercial solutions for the lowest LCOE.
- Coordinate with procurement on inputs for the technocommercial model and LCOE analysis.
- Work with engineering and procurement teams to prepare RFPs reflecting project specifications.
- Coordinate with technical advisors, EPC contractors, and subcontractors on system costs.
- Lead proposal development efforts, ensuring clear communication of expectations and standards.
- Manage stakeholder relations and inputs from sales, marketing, finance, legal, and delivery teams.
- Stay updated on technological developments to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or relevant Master’s degree from a top-tier, internationally recognized institution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
Preferred Experience:
- 8-10 years of experience in developing EPC proposals for solar PV or onshore wind projects, including cross-functional team coordination and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience drafting, negotiating, and closing EPC contract annexures.
- Proven track record in successful proposals for IPP tenders in renewable or conventional energy sectors.
Job-Specific Skills:
- Deep knowledge of engineering, construction management, and technical specifications of solar PV or wind technologies, plus related energy technologies such as CSP or waste-to-energy.
- Hands-on experience in drafting and negotiating technical annexes of renewable energy contracts.
- Exceptional skills in EPC contract preparation, negotiation, and closure.
- Strong understanding of the work done by cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a consultative approach.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
- Knowledge of the renewable and traditional energy industries.
