Job description

Integration Architect / Lead needs to understand and implement the best practices in a Middleware by designing appropriate solutions supporting the customer's business needs as part of the overall AGI Application landscape. He/She needs to have extensive experience in Boomi and API Ecosystem as a Integration Platform which minimum 6 years of experience building / architecting solutions using the Boomi or Azure APIM platform. Within their particular process area, the consultant will be responsible for the global solution which includes responsibility for the method and processes used to translate requirements into a coherent solution considering balancing both the integration needs and technical architecture. The role will be key in providing support to the team that is tasked with building and testing the end solution. Implementing appropriate processes to drive high quality and sustainable solutions will be critical. He/She needs to understand and implement the best practices in Integrations, API & Middleware by designing appropriate solutions supporting using proper Integration Patterns. Within their particular process area, the role will be responsible for the global solution which includes responsibility for the method and processes used to translate requirements into a coherent solution considering balancing both the integration needs and technical architecture. The role will be a key in providing support to the team that is tasked with building and testing the end solution. Implementing appropriate processes to drive high quality and sustainable solutions will be critical. The individual will work with IT Business Partners, subject matter experts, and process owners to design and deliver end user value.

Responsibilities

Strategic:

• Define the over all Integration Architecture including API strategy and Integration Patterns.
• Provide an expert level of skills & knowledge in the evaluation, development, testing and delivery of middleware solutions and APIs.
• Collaborate with the business in identifying integration requirements and create corresponding technical specifications.
• Expert knowledge of BOOMI as a middleware tool.
• Provide technical support to end users diagnose and resolve application-related issues, identify root causes, as well as institute corrective actions and preventive measures.
• Carry out detailed impact assessments for proposed change requests, proposing alternative cost-effective solutions where appropriate.
• Provide L3 technical support to other teams as and when required.
• Reviews business context for solutions to company challenges as well as defining the vision and requirements for the solution, recommending potential options, (which may include RFIs, RFPs or prototype development), selecting the most optimal option, and the development of a roadmap for the selected solution.

Operational:

• Provide an expert level of skills & knowledge in the evaluation, development, testing and delivery APIs & middleware solutions.
• Expert level knowledge of building integration solutions using BOOMI.
• Collaborate with the business in identifying integration requirements and create corresponding technical specifications.
• Develop middleware solutions using defined development standards, procedures, and design specifications.
• Develop test scripts, perform unit testing, and contribute to integration testing of development objects.
• Provide technical support to end users diagnose and resolve application-related issues, identify root causes, as well as institute corrective actions and preventive measures.
• Carry out detailed impact assessments for proposed change requests, proposing alternative cost-effective solutions where appropriate.
• Good understanding on Dynamics 365 and AWS. Excellent exposure to API Gateways.

People Management:

• The Integration Architect is an individual who will need to collaborate with other technology stakeholders and enjoys mentoring and coaching.
• Will require strong planning, written and verbal communication skills.
• Will require experience interfacing with senior management and have an ability to make suggestions and influence decisions.

Product/Process Improvement:

• Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures and artifacts including Solution / Integration design documentation, tools, templates and supporting information.
• Facilitate the identification of continuous process improvement initiatives and the prioritization of these initiatives with the IT Project teams.
• Establish automated processes, workflow and reporting capabilities to drive quality and efficiency of services and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with technical team to design long term, big-ticket performance enhancements.

Qualifications

Education & Certifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related Engineering subjects.
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience as Integration and over all 10+ years of engineering experience.
• Demonstrated understanding at a high level of one or more industry-standard ESB Tools like Boomi, Mulesoft etc.
• Excellent understanding of integration patterns.

Knowledge & Skill:

• Expert knowledge of micro-services architecture.
• Expert knowledge of Boomi as a ESB Tool.
• Hand on experience of working with APls.
• Ability to create technical requirements documentation / specs.
• Ability to create high level user interfaces, mind maps and wireframes.
• Strong knowledge of ESB Tools and Integration Patterns.
• Familiarity with the MS D365 F&O and Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power Automate, PowerApps and Power BI.

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years in development of IT projects.
• 4-5 years' experience being in leading IT development teams for delivery of IT projects using Open Framework cloud Technologies.
• Should have been involved in at least four project implementations.
• Good analytical and communication skills.
• Knowledge in problem/change management process.
• Should be a team player and work across various Teams.
• Should have proven documentation skills.
• Experience Security Design and Administration.
• Ability to provide coaching & knowledge transfer to team members, including ensuring that resources have proper understanding of the System landscape and technologies.
