Job Title: Senior Manager Fleet Efficiency

Salary: Up to AED 35,000 (Negotiable - Subject to Experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and analytically driven Senior Manager Fleet Efficiency to lead strategic and operational initiatives focused on enhancing vessel performance, fuel optimization, and voyage profitability.

This position will be instrumental in driving sustainable fleet operations across global networks, with a strong focus on data-led decision-making, compliance with international maritime regulations, and collaboration with technical and commercial teams.

The ideal candidate will have deep operational expertise within the shipping industry and a proven track record in fleet performance analysis, voyage planning, cost optimization, and implementing decarbonization strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute fleet efficiency strategies across various trade lanes.

Monitor and analyze key vessel performance indicators such as fuel consumption, port productivity, speed, idle time, and emissions.

Collaborate closely with Technical, Trade, and Network teams to optimize voyage planning and schedule integrity.

Lead initiatives to reduce bunker consumption and adopt energy-efficient technologies in coordination with vessel owners and charter parties.

Ensure compliance with global and regional maritime regulations.

Manage vendor relationships, including marine services, digital monitoring providers, and fuel suppliers.

Evaluate fleet-wide performance dashboards and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Drive cost-efficiency measures such as route rationalization, slow steaming, and just-in-time arrival strategies.

Support vessel acquisition decisions with performance benchmarking data.

Represent the organization in technical committees and forums related to environmental sustainability and fleet digitalization.

Supervise and mentor operations team members (where applicable).

Participate in feasibility studies and support business development initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Maritime Operations, or a related field (Masters preferred).

Minimum of 10+ years experience in shipping line operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role focusing on fleet or voyage efficiency.

Strong knowledge of maritime regulations such as IMO, MARPOL, SEEMP, and CII.

Excellent project management and cross-functional communication skills.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural, and data-driven environment.

Prior experience with container shipping lines is essential.

Based in or open to relocating to Dubai, UAE.
