Responsibilities

• Implement Enterprise Databases: Deploy and configure Oracle, Microsoft SQL, and open-source databases across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Ensure High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement resilient architectures with tested recovery procedures and minimal downtime.
• Performance Optimization: Conduct database profiling and tuning to ensure optimal performance and proactively resolve bottlenecks.
• Security and Compliance: Apply robust security configurations and ensure alignment with audit and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Document and Share Knowledge: Produce high-level and low-level design documents, recovery playbooks, and implementation guides.

Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive Database Experience: 10+ years of hands‑on expertise in Oracle, MS SQL, and open-source databases.
• Cloud Implementation Proficiency: Strong knowledge of cloud-native and hybrid database platforms, especially across major cloud providers.
• Disaster Recovery Expertise: Proven ability to architect and execute DR strategies with defined RTO/RPO.
• Performance and Tuning Skills: Skilled in identifying and resolving performance issues across diverse database environments.
• Security Acumen: Experience implementing encryption, access controls, and compliance frameworks.
• Technical Documentation: Ability to create detailed design and implementation documentation for cross‑functional use.
