This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Engineering Manager in United Arab Emirates.

This role offers a leadership opportunity to drive end-to-end delivery of mission-critical, user-facing Care Services initiatives in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will act as the engineering co-lead for the Care Services stream, collaborating closely with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high-quality, reliable outcomes. The position combines hands-on technical oversight with people leadership, focusing on building high-performing engineering teams, improving delivery predictability, and maintaining alignment with organizational standards. You will manage both Engineering Managers and individual contributors, shaping initiatives from inception through release while balancing competing priorities. This role is ideal for an experienced engineering leader who thrives in remote, globally distributed teams, and who is motivated by continuous improvement and impactful delivery.

Accountabilities
  • Own end-to-end engineering delivery for Care Services initiatives, ensuring scope, timelines, quality, and user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and stakeholders to shape initiatives, communicate risks early, and make trade-offs under ambiguity.
  • Lead technical delivery across frontend and API/integration layers, ensuring alignment with internal foundation and backend teams.
  • Manage and mentor a team including Engineering Managers and engineers, addressing performance issues, hiring needs, and succession planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery predictability, process effectiveness, automation, and adherence to shared standards.
  • Act as the engineering representative in leadership discussions, providing clear updates on delivery health, risks, and trade-offs.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including 5–10 years in engineering management and 2–4 years in senior management roles.
  • Proven track record managing Engineering Managers and individual contributors.
  • Experience delivering consumer-facing applications, particularly frontend and user experience–critical components.
  • Strong experience working with high-visibility initiatives and multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve team processes, reliability, and adherence to shared standards over time.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills in English.
  • Comfortable operating in dynamic environments with evolving scope and priorities.
  • Remote work experience and ability to collaborate effectively across time zones, ideally overlapping with GMT hours.
