JOB CONTEXT

Specific Accountability

• Lead the team of Network Engineers
• Support production networks across domestic, international, and public clouds
• Network administration and performance tuning
• Manage high-availability systems
• Oversee network performance and problem management
• Identify and address security vulnerabilities
• Participate in application disaster recovery activities from the network side
• Handle major incidents and Severity 1 calls, leading to resolution across multiple teams
• Prepare Root Cause Analyses (RCA)
• Adhere to Change Management processes
• Mentor team members and junior engineers
• Participate actively in technology projects as the SPOC from Network Operations
• Collaborate across multiple Service Delivery Teams

Experience and Skills

• 5-10 years of experience in network design and operations
• Ability to coach and guide engineering teams
• Experience in creating solution architectures based on requirements
• Expertise in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network problems for banking networks
• Knowledge of AWS and Azure architectural principles and key networking services (e.g., AWS Global Infrastructure, VPC, S3, EC2, Route 53, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Azure VNET, VNet-Peering, Private Link, vWAN, ExpressRoute, Firewall, Load Balancer)
• Ability to work as a cross-functional team player in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in designing, configuring, and deploying network projects
• Proficiency in routing, switching, wireless technologies, and protocols
• Knowledge of NAT, VPN, encryption, MPLS, Network Access Control, WAN Optimization, and SD-WAN
• Troubleshooting skills and experience in Root Cause Analysis
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with stakeholders and support teams
• Ability to implement changes and proactively seek solutions to prevent issues
• Hands-on experience with designing interactive applications, automation, or service management solutions (e.g., Cisco DNA, Cisco Nexus Dashboard, MSO, IPAM)
