Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to join our AI & Data team and play a key role in shaping enterprise‑scale data platforms that support analytics, AI / ML, and Generative AI initiatives.
In this role, you will design and evolve modern data architectures, working closely with engineering, AI, and business stakeholders to ensure data platforms are scalable, secure, and future‑ready.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture & Platform Design
- Design scalable, secure, and high‑performance data architectures to support analytics and AI workloads.
- Define data storage, processing, integration, and access patterns across structured and unstructured data.
- Assess data volume, latency, bandwidth, and performance requirements.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and compliance with regulatory and security standards.
- Design architectures supporting enterprise reporting, advanced analytics, and AI / ML pipelines.
- Plan for platform growth and evolving data and AI requirements.
AI & Advanced Analytics Enablement
- Design data pipelines for machine learning, deep learning, and Generative AI use cases.
- Enable feature engineering, model lifecycle workflows, and vector‑based data usage.
- Support real‑time and batch data processing use cases.
Collaboration & Technical Leadership
- Collaborate with data engineers, AI engineers, platform, and security teams.
- Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership across data initiatives.
- Stay current with emerging data, AI, and GenAI best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years in data architecture, design, or data engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with real‑time streaming (Kafka, Flink).
- Strong understanding of open table formats (Parquet, Iceberg, Delta Lake).
- Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate).
- Familiarity with big data & analytics platforms (Spark, Hadoop, Snowflake, Redshift).
- Experience with Kubernetes / OpenShift.
- Understanding of data requirements for AI / ML pipelines.
- Knowledge of security and identity systems (LDAP, AD, OAuth2, Kerberos).
- Experience with data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA).
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications in Data Engineering and / or AI / ML.
- Experience with Starburst / Trino, Dataiku, or Dell Data Lakehouse.
- Experience preparing data for LLMs and Generative AI.
- Familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow).
Working Arrangements
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
