Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Dubai is seeking a Cost Control Specialist to develop and maintain project cost control systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in cost control within construction or infrastructure projects and will be proficient in management software such as Xpedeon, SAP, or Oracle. This role offers a full-time position with the goal of ensuring effective cost alignment throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost control in construction/infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management.
• PMP, CCP, or RICS certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop implement and maintain project cost control systems and procedures.
• Prepare detailed cost reports forecasts and variance analyses.
• Monitor project budgets commitments expenditures and forecasts.
• Analyze project performance (CPI SPI earned value analysis) and provide recommendations.
• Review and approve subcontractors and suppliers invoices and variations.
• Support management in identifying risks deviations and potential cost savings.
• Coordinate with planning procurement and commercial departments to ensure cost alignment.
• Participate in budget preparation tender evaluation and project closing reports.
• Provide monthly cost reports and presentations to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost control in construction/infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in cost management software and ERP systems (e.g. Xpedeon SAP Oracle).
• Strong analytical reporting and communication skills.
• Knowledge of budgeting forecasting and earned value management.
• PMP CCP or RICS certification is an advantage.
