OVERALL OBJECTIVE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job purpose:
KPMG UAE is hiring a Sr. Consultant - Consulting in UAE focusing on Global Business Services (GBS) / Shared Services (SS) Advisory, Managed Services, Transformation and Outsourcing. As a Consultant in KPMG UAE's Advisory practice, you will be responsible for delivering GBS and SSC Advisory Services, Managed Services, Transformation and Outsourcing solutions to our clients across a variety of functional service operations areas. You will also be responsible for solutioning, transition and running outsourced operations across SG&A / Service Operations functions.
Desired Experience and Expertise:
KPMG is seeking an individual with 5+ years of experience with a Big 4 or similar organizations. The individual will be expected to demonstrate the following expertise which will form part of their role at KPMG:
- Finance Expertise: Knowledge and hands-on experience across the following areas in Finance:
- Good understanding of planning, budgeting and forecasting cycle
- Good understanding of cost accounting, cost drivers and allocation methodologies
- Strong accounting skills and understanding of journal entries for billing, accruals / adjustments
- Experience in accounts reconciliation
- Shared Services / GBS Programme delivery: Supporting clients with large scale transformation programmes in Shared Services / GBS across strategy, design, setup, transition, transformation and benefits tracking. Key activities include:
- Support workstreams and/or mid-sized projects on delivery, project planning, budgeting, and quality control
- Evaluating client's current state and defining a Target Operating Model including design for business processes
- Conducting functional maturity assessment, benchmarking and strategy development
- Support in designing target operating models for multifunctional back-office operations, including Finance, HR, IT, Procurement and other SG&A functions
- Technology-Enabled (inc. Automation and digitization) Finance and back-office function transformation
- Strong project management skills, with a focus on driving results and delivering projects on time within budget
- Business and Practice Development: Support Directors and Partners in business development activities including:
- Supporting in pursuits for target clients
- Support Proposal development for GBS / Shared Services and Outsourcing Services
- Collaborate with other KPMG teams to deliver integrated solutions to our clients
- Support in broader GBS / SS strategy execution including:
- Support on Thought leadership / white papers on the outsourcing and future of work collaboratively with minimal instructions
- Research for thought leadership / white papers on relevant topics
- Supporting in raising market awareness
- Support in organizing internal and external events
- Other skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate the business challenges and explain proposed solutions
- Strong analytical / MS Excel, Power BI, Problem Solving skills and Presentation / PowerPoint expertise
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on developing innovative solutions to complex business problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education & Experience requirements:
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or accounting from a top business school
- Professional certifications, such as CPA, CMA, PMP, Six Sigma are preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant consulting experience (Preferably from Big 4 or other large consulting / outsourcing firms)
Language skills:
- English: Fluent (Speaking, Reading, Writing, Listening)
- Arabic: Preferred (Optional Speaking, Writing; Optional Listening)
