Penspen is urgently looking to hire for Senior Construction Engineer - Mechanical for one of our Offshore PMC projects in Abu Dhabi.

Qualification Required

The candidates should have Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

Manage and supervise mechanical construction works offshore, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and schedule commitments.

Lead mechanical construction activities including installation of piping, static and rotating equipment, and mechanical packages.

Ensure mechanical systems are installed according to design drawings, specifications, and international standards (ASME, API, ISO).

Conduct inspections, mechanical completion checks, and ensure quality documentation is maintained.

Troubleshoot mechanical issues during startup and ensure smooth handover to operations.

Provide expertise in the mechanical construction, installation, and commissioning of offshore mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely project delivery.

Plan, schedule, and monitor mechanical construction activities to meet project milestones.

Oversee installation of static and rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, heat exchangers, vessels, tanks, piping systems).

Provide technical support for offshore wellhead towers, subsea pipelines, and cable routing.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, electrical, instrumentation, marine) to align construction activities.

Experience Required

Minimum 15+ years of experience, with at least 3 to 5 years in a similar position for major oil & gas (offshore project).

Preferred experience from PMC/EPC Mechanical Construction Background.

Previous ADNOC Offshore Experience is an advantage.

Strong knowledge of offshore construction methods, mechanical systems, and safety standards.

Ability to work in challenging offshore environments and extended rotations.
