What the job involves

• Provide research and execution support to the finance team, contributing to the development and implementation of the company's financial and investment strategy.
• Build and maintain advanced financial models to support ongoing projects and provide strategic recommendations.
• Conduct detailed research into energy markets, oil and gas companies, and financing opportunities for the firm's projects.
• Assist with raising debt, equity, and financing for energy projects, focusing on upstream oil and gas operations in Iraq and other regions.
• Collaborate with senior management to prepare high-quality presentations, strategic analyses, and reports.
• Support business development efforts by identifying and evaluating new opportunities aligned with the company's growth plans.
• Work closely with internal teams and external advisors to ensure compliance with financial regulations and strategic goals.

Who we are looking for

• A professional from investment banking with expertise in project finance and the energy sector, particularly oil and gas.
• Strong academic background with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or Physics (CFA or MBA is a plus).
• Proficient in financial modelling and data analysis, with a keen ability to develop actionable insights and solutions.
