Job description: Senior Accountant

Are you an experienced and semi-qualified Chartered Accountant / ACCA / CA / CPA looking for your next challenge? We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Dubai. This is a client-facing role, ideal for someone with a background in an Audit Firm and experience handling client visits and communications.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial records, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements
• Manage the organization's cash flow, including accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare and present financial reports to management, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies
• Coordinate audits with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices
• Collaborate with internal teams and maintain client relationships
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations and prepare and file tax returns
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy

Requirements and skills

• Proven working experience as an Accounts Manager, preferably in an AUDIT FIRM
• Advanced computer skills in MS Excel, accounting software (preferably XERO), and databases
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, IFRS, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
• Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce required financial reports, budgets, or client account statements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Leadership abilities, including client communication, e‑mail communication skills, etc.
• ACCA, CA, CPA, or similar relevant qualifications.
• 1-2 years of experience, preferably in an Audit firm or Accounting Service Provider.
