Job Responsibilities
- Ensure a comprehensive understanding of the business strategy and positioning of the Minor Hotels brand, and communicate this effectively in the marketplace.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all Minor Hotels product and service offerings, including rates, new developments, and awareness of industry trends and competitors.
- Approach personal sales activities strategically, prioritizing accounts based on their importance and potential.
- Regularly review each account's actual production against its potential and discuss improvement strategies with department leadership.
- Actively seek new client contacts and gather detailed information on potential revenue from these accounts.
- Achieve personal financial and non-financial performance objectives in collaboration with department leadership.
- Take responsibility for professional development, enhancing skills in financial literacy, negotiation, and face-to-face selling.
- Maintain accurate management reports on business results and action plans.
- Practice effective cost control and adhere to internal expenditure approval procedures.
- Participate in client familiarization trips, site inspections, sales trips, and roadshows to meet hotel sales targets.
- Collaborate effectively with operational colleagues to ensure accurate delivery of services.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Minor Hotels products.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of sales support tools, including sales-specific software, property PMS, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ensure timely and efficient processing of all administrative tasks, including updating Opera with activities.
- Prepare monthly sales reports according to property requirements.
- Attend owners' meetings as needed.
- Explore potential property buyout agreements.
- Focus on product launches, bespoke meetings, and incentives.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience in a 5-star hotel, with at least 1 year in a managerial role.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, email).
- Positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong leadership qualities.
