The InterContinental Hotels Group® at Dubai Festival City consists of four hotels. Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute event strategies by defining clear goals, objectives, and budgets, while collaborating with stakeholders to determine event themes, formats, and target audiences.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor event budgets, track payments and expenses, and ensure financial accountability. Make strategic decisions to optimize resources and deliver desired outcomes within approved budgetary limits.
  • Oversee all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, accommodation, transportation, audiovisual requirements, catering, and equipment rentals, ensuring smooth operations and timely execution.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their event requirements and delivering exceptional customer service. Collaborate closely with clients to develop tailored event concepts, themes, and programs.
  • Oversee on-site event operations, including staff coordination and issue resolution, to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for all participants.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with events by developing contingency plans and ensuring full compliance with legal, health, and safety regulations.
  • Collect feedback from clients and attendees, analyze performance data, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements for future events.
  • Develop into a Destination Dubai and UAE market expert in Meetings, Incentives, Congresses, and Exhibitions (MICE) by acquiring in-depth knowledge of hotel competitive sets, STR performance for the hotel and its competitors, and the socio-economic factors in Dubai, the UAE, and globally that impact the hospitality industry.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of the business model, concepts, market dynamics and trends, exhibitions, and key geographic markets within the managed client portfolio.
  • Build and strengthen relationships across all business units and hierarchical levels within the customer’s organization to achieve a relationship score of at least 5 (on a scale of 1–10) for prospects qualifying as potential IHG DFC accounts.
