Job Description

The Safety Officer shall carry out the day-to‑day operations of the health and safety of the site and contribute to the application of effective Health and Safety management by providing technical support. He must have full knowledge of all aspects of safety material. He shall be conversant with and experienced in general civil engineering construction and emergency procedures. The Safety Officer must hold training in relevant OSHA H2S awareness, Basic Fire Fighting, Preventive Medicine Department. Good knowledge of all safety and engineering standards mentioned in DM and RTA manuals.

  • Good knowledge in preparing and managing traffic diversions schemes at work zones.
  • Additional traffic safety certificates are advantageous.
  • Passing the Road Safety interview held by the prequalification committee.
  • Excellent verbal and writing in English communication skills.
  • Solid experience in maintaining relevant records and generating activity reports for the Risk Assessment and Risk Management.
  • Valid U.A.E. driving license.
Qualifications

He must have relevant technical qualifications with the following minimum requirements:

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering/safety from relevant tertiary Institute with two years of experience in the field of safety of networks construction.
