Qualifications

Job description

1.1.1 The Revenue Manager is responsible for optimizing the hotels and RGI (Revenue Generation Index measuring the hotels position as compared to the competition) sales revenue.
1.1.2 Close interaction with the hotels senior management.
1.1.3 Takes part in determining budget and strategy & is accountable for its implementation.
1.1.4 He is responsible for pricing strategy and for optimizing inventory.
1.1.5 Must provide a global perspective on Revenue Management to the whole hotel.
1.1.6 Organization and monitoring of all affairs concerned to the position.
1.1.7 Proper grooming at all times.
1.1.8 Attend trainings as per schedule.
1.1.9 Show fullest cooperation and respect within the team and other departments.
1.1.10 Is aware of the daily activities and has product knowledge of all the hotel facilities
1.1.11 Supports the budgetary process and the yearly strategy.
1.1.12 Devises the yearly budget per segment per day.
1.1.13 Determines sales strategy.
1.1.14 Determines yearly rate tables for all market segments.
1.1.15 Develops and steers the hotels Revenue strategy.
1.1.16 Prepares forecasts and chairs the Revenue meeting
1.1.17 Determines and implements pricing strategies and circulates the recommendations
1.1.18 Nurtures relations with internet partners
1.1.19 Updates rates and restrictions throughout all distribution channels
1.1.20 Collects integrates and studies market and competition data on a daily basis
1.1.21 Produces benchmarking GDS performance and other reports.
1.1.22 Maintains work systems and tools.
1.1.23 Maintain the revenue reporting system and analyze reservation patterns.
1.1.24 Staying up to date on any software or data management trends.
1.1.25 Be totally familiar with hotel products rates and promotions at all up to date understanding of company products and rates and involvement in cross selling of these when required.
1.1.26 Be aware of the strengths and weaknesses of all competing hotel and restaurant products and provide weekly regular updates after visiting competition hotels allocated for tracking purposes
1.1.27 Provide ongoing market intelligence by monitoring business sources and segments.
1.1.28 Penetrate and saturate prospective and existing customer organizations for effective multi department selling.
1.1.29 Assist the DOSM in pursuing new market segments to secure sales and prepare proposals for consideration.
1.1.30 Positive communication of the hotel image to existing and potential customer at all times.
1.1.31 Ensure that revenues and / or cost controls are maximized through proactive actions rather than reactive management.
1.1.32 Report on trends in the industry and local markets.
1.1.33 Attends the hotels revenue meetings as scheduled.
1.1.34 To be punctual on duty.
1.1.35 Be well groomed to the standards laid down. Insist on the same standard for your employees.
1.1.36 To comply with all hotel rules and regulations as outlined in the handbook and to be aware of company disciplinary and grievance procedures.
1.1.37 Maintains a monthly overview of vacation- and public holiday balance of all his/her staff and delivers a monthly consolidated summary to the Director of HR.
1.1.38 To create an environment which promotes employee morale and encourages the team to have pride in their department with a high level of commitment.
1.1.39 To promote a helpful and professional image to the customer and give full cooperation to any customer requiring assistance with the prompt caring and helpful attitude
1.1.40 To anticipate the needs of the customer whenever possible to enhance quality service and in turn enhance customer satisfaction.
1.1.41 To give full co-operation to any colleague requiring assistance in a prompt caring and helpful manner. To be flexible in assisting in other areas of the Hotel in response to the business and customer needs
1.1.42 Is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards for his/her field of responsibility.
1.1.43 Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience as a Hotel Revenue Management and/or other departments of the hotel is beneficial (e.g reservations and operations will give you helpful background knowledge).
  • A strong command of both written and spoken English is required; additional languages an asset as many reports and interactions include English terminology as well as important stakeholder management and reporting will often be concluded in English.
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Finance Hotel Management Tourism or Economic Studies
  • Highly computer literate with a high-level command of Excel/PowerBI or other data analysis and billing tools
  • Knowledgeable of hotel technology: PMS Channel Manager GDS CRS Extranets
