Job summary

A reputable restaurant in Dubai is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to manage and monitor inventory operations. The successful candidate will handle daily stock movements, collaborate with kitchen and purchasing teams, and ensure accurate reporting and documentation. Knowledge of food handling and inventory software is essential for this role. This position requires a keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in inventory/storekeeping in hospitality or F&B.
• High attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of food handling, storage, and stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record daily stock transactions including receiving, transfers, and wastage.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
• Track expiry dates and coordinate with kitchen and purchasing for optimal usage.
• Classify and label all items properly and maintain stockroom cleanliness.
• Prepare weekly/monthly consumption and variance reports.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and wastage and report to management.
• Ensure accurate documentation of inventory data in the system.
• Collaborate with chefs, purchasing, and finance to forecast needs and avoid shortages.
