Restaurant Host/Hostess
Location: Dubai, UAE
Reports To: Restaurant Manager and Assistant Manager
Start Date: November 5–15, 2025
Salary: AED 6000 per month (housing and transpo included)
We are looking for a warm, professional, and guest-focused Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for guests at a prestigious high-end Italian dining outlet in Dubai. You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional welcome, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth guest experience from arrival to departure.
Key Responsibilities
1. Represent the Restaurant’s Values
  • Provide a warm, smiling, and professional greeting to every guest.
  • Maintain full attention and eye contact with guests, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Show respect and support toward colleagues across all departments.
  • Demonstrate a proactive “problem solver” attitude, taking initiative to resolve issues and improve the guest experience.
  • Handle guest complaints with empathy, diplomacy, and discretion.
2. Guarantee the Quality of Guest Reception
  • Maintain impeccable personal presentation in accordance with grooming standards (elegant attire, clean and styled hair, subtle makeup, excellent hygiene).
  • Greet guests with patience, a positive attitude, and professionalism, prioritizing those with special needs such as people with disabilities, elderly guests, and pregnant women.
  • Clearly explain the queue system, reservations, waiting list, and menu details.
  • Record guest preferences and special occasions in 7Rooms and communicate them to the team during briefings.
  • Keep managers informed about any delays or wait times so service recovery gestures can be offered when needed.
  • Escort guests to their tables, ensuring comfort and explaining menu or payment procedures.
  • Check tables during service to confirm guest satisfaction and escalate concerns when necessary.
3. Contribute to Service Optimization
  • Maintain constant communication with the restaurant manager to update seating plans in real-time using 7Rooms.
  • Balance reservations and walk-ins efficiently, providing accurate wait time estimates and managing no-shows with flexibility where possible.
  • Optimize seating to achieve target average table times without compromising the guest experience.
  • Assist with setup or reset of tables when required.
  • Keep the host station tidy, organized, and fully stocked before, during, and after service.
Requirements
  • Mandatory: Currently residing in Dubai.
  • Mandatory: Experience in an Italian restaurant or Italian-inspired outlet.
  • Previous experience as a Host/Hostess in a fine-dining or high-end restaurant preferred.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Proficiency in 7Rooms or similar reservation management software preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with a guest-first mindset.
