Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests.
  • Administer therapeutic procedures including oxygen therapy and chest physiotherapy.
  • Manage ventilators and artificial airway devices for patients in ICU, ER, or surgical settings.
  • Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop respiratory care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on managing respiratory conditions.
  • Respond to emergency situations including cardiac or respiratory arrests.
  • Ensure equipment is sanitized, calibrated, and functioning properly.
  • Comply with all DOH regulations and hospital protocols.

Education

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Respiratory Therapist holding a valid DOH license to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing treating and caring for patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders in accordance with medical directives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests.
  • Administer therapeutic procedures including oxygen therapy aerosol treatments and chest physiotherapy.
  • Manage ventilators and artificial airway devices for patients in ICU ER or surgical settings.
  • Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop and implement respiratory care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families on managing respiratory conditions.
  • Respond to emergency situations including cardiac or respiratory arrests.
  • Ensure equipment is sanitized calibrated and functioning properly.
  • Comply with all DOH regulations infection control policies and hospital protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent.
  • Valid Department of Health (DOH) license (or eligibility to transfer).
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
  • BLS and ACLS certification (required).
