We are seeking a highly skilled Government Relationship Manager / Officer to represent our real estate company in all legal, regulatory, and government‑related matters across Dubai. The role requires close coordination with RERA, Dubai Courts (Rental Disputes Committee), Dubai Municipality, Dubai Economic Department, MOHRE, Immigration, RTA, Police, and other government entities. The Government Relationship Manager / Officer will handle legal disputes, tenant defaults, compliance matters, and all official transactions with government bodies. The position carries Power of Attorney (POA) to represent the company in filing and closing cases, attending hearings, and managing government relations on behalf of the business. The above is the role - focus to be candidates dealing with land department, RERA, handling tenant dispute, court hearing etc., this part is very critical.
Key Responsibilities
Legal & Tenant Dispute Management
- Coordinate with the leasing department to manage bounced cheque cases and tenant defaults.
- File police cases against tenants defaulting on rent payments.
- Register cases with Dubai Courts and RERA’s Rental Dispute Center.
- Issue and register default warning letters through the Notary Public.
- Handle eviction cases, rental disputes, and conflict resolution with problematic tenants.
- Liaise with DEWA and other utility providers regarding defaulting tenants and related matters.
- Manage all tenant‑related cases from initiation to resolution, providing regular updates to management.
Government & Regulatory Liaison
- Represent the company before RERA, Dubai Courts, and all relevant judicial/government authorities.
- Liaise with Dubai Municipality, Dubai Economic Department, MOHRE, Immigration, RTA, Police, and other departments for business operations and compliance.
- File, track, and close government‑related cases and applications.
- Ensure timely renewals of trade licenses, permits, establishment cards, and other mandatory registrations.
- Support the formation and structuring of new LLC entities and company registrations.
Relationship & Representation
- Act as the official point of contact for all government communications and negotiations.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with government officials and departments.
- Provide advisory reports and case status updates to senior management.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Public Relations, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years as a PRO, or Government Relations, or Legal Affairs role (real estate sector strongly preferred).
- Languages: Fluency in Arabic (essential) and English (preferred).
- Knowledge:
- UAE real estate and tenancy laws.
- Labor law and government compliance procedures.
- Filing procedures with Dubai Courts, RERA, and other government entities.
- Skills:
- Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and case‑handling abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to resolve disputes and manage sensitive legal matters.
- Established network within UAE government authorities.
