Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced Subregional Controller to oversee the finance operations for Marsh and Guy Carpenter businesses in the Middle East region excluding Saudi Arabia. This is a senior leadership role responsible for:

• Serving as the designated finance officer for regulated businesses in the region
• Presenting financial updates and insights to the local boards of directors
• Managing a team of 48 finance professionals and collaborating with the shared service center in Mumbai
• Ensuring compliance with all local tax, regulatory and audit requirements
• Partnering closely with the business leaders to provide strategic financial inputs
• Driving continuous improvement in financial processes and controls

Job Requirements:

• 15 years of experience in a senior finance leadership role, preferably in the insurance/brokerage industry
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively liaise with business leaders, boards and regulators
• Expertise in audit compliance and regulatory reporting for multinational organizations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs
• Chartered Accountant or CPA qualification
• Experience working in a shared service model and leading a geographically distributed team

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience working in the Middle East region, particularly in the UAE
• Familiarity with the local regulatory and tax environment in the target countries
• Exposure to consulting or professional services businesses
