Job summary

A leading construction company in the UAE is seeking a Quality Inspector for their projects in Ras al-Khaimah. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 3–7 years of relevant experience in construction, particularly within the UAE. Responsibilities include inspecting civil works, ensuring compliance with specifications, and conducting various tests. Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures and UAE regulations is essential for this role. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor civil works including concrete works, formwork, reinforcement, finishing, earthworks, and structural elements.
• Ensure works comply with approved shop drawings, method statements, ITPs, and project specifications.
• Conduct inspections for materials delivery, storage, and usage to ensure compliance with approved materials and standards.
• Witness and document tests such as concrete slump tests, cube tests, compaction tests, and other QA/QC activities.
• Raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) when required and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with consultants, site engineers, and subcontractors during inspections and approvals.
• Maintain proper quality records, inspection reports, checklists, and test results.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure close-out of quality issues.
• Ensure work complies with UAE regulations, local authority requirements, and international standards (ASTM, BS, ACI, etc.).
• Report quality issues and progress to the QA/QC Engineer or QA/QC Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• UAE resident
• 3–7 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in construction projects (UAE experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspection techniques, and construction standards.
• Familiar with UAE construction codes and local authority requirements.
• Experience working with consultants and main contractors.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with QA/QC documentation systems is an advantage.
• Immediate availability or short notice is preferred.
