Role Overview

Orbit International Survey Services (Orbit ISS) is seeking an experienced QC Insulation Inspector (Commissioning) to support Oil & Gas and Energy projects during the commissioning phase. The role focuses on ensuring insulation works are properly executed, inspected, and verified in compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements prior to system handover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect insulation materials, installation methods, cladding, and weatherproofing during pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Verify insulation works comply with approved drawings, ITPs, and technical specifications.
  • Monitor insulation installation for piping, equipment, tanks, and HVAC ducting.
  • Identify, report, and track non-conformances, ensuring timely corrective actions before system handover.
  • Coordinate closely with Construction, Commissioning, QC, Engineering, and Client/Third-Party Inspectors.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain inspection reports, commissioning records, and quality documentation.
  • Support final inspection and handover of insulated systems to operations, ensuring all acceptance criteria are met.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a QC Insulation Inspector, preferably during commissioning phases of Oil & Gas or Energy projects.
  • Strong knowledge of insulation materials, installation methods, cladding systems, and commissioning practices.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and verify technical drawings, ITPs, method statements, and project specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong inspection, reporting, and documentation skills.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills, capable of working with multidisciplinary teams including construction, commissioning, and client representatives.
