A leading engineering services provider is looking for a QC Inspector - E&I based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering and 5-10 years of experience in E&I inspection roles within the Oil & Gas sector. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with project specifications, conducting inspections, and coordinating with various teams. Job description

We are looking for a QC Inspector - E&I for one of our clients with the following details:

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE - Site based - Flexible to work on several sites

Expected Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 24 months - extendable based on project requirement

Work Schedule: Working on site will be 8 to 10-hour shifts - 6 days per week

Qualification and Experience Required:
  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in E&I inspection roles in Oil & Gas projects
Services Description
  • Inspect installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems as per project specifications and international standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, API, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with approved construction drawings, vendor documents, and client specifications.
  • Conduct inspections for cable laying, glanding, termination, loop checking, and continuity tests.
  • Verify installation of electrical panels, transformers, lighting, grounding, and lightning protection systems.
  • Review ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), checklists, and ensure proper documentation of inspection records.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC, construction, commissioning, and client teams for punch list clearing and final acceptance.
  • Witness functional testing of control systems including DCS, PLCs, ESD, and Fire & Gas systems.
  • Ensure safety practices and adherence to PTW (Permit to Work) system during inspections.
