Position Overview

As the Projects Subcontracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing all subcontracting activities for our projects. You will work closely with the project management team to ensure that all subcontractors are selected, managed, and monitored in accordance with company policies and procedures. This is a full‑time position that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a database of qualified subcontractors for various trades and services
• Review and analyze subcontractor proposals and negotiate terms and conditions
• Prepare and issue subcontracts and purchase orders in accordance with project requirements
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project specifications and timelines
• Manage subcontractor change orders and claims, and resolve any disputes or issues that may arise
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of all subcontracting activities
• Coordinate with project management team to ensure timely and accurate payment of subcontractors
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors to promote a positive working environment
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of subcontracting activities
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to subcontracting activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years experience in subcontract management in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, subcontracting laws, and regulations
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
