Leverage your technical leadership and join a well-established and renowned Emirati construction company, recognized for delivering complex power and energy infrastructure projects across the UAE and the wider GCC region.

As a Project Manager – Underground Cable Projects, you will be responsible for leading and delivering EHV underground cable projects (400 kV, 220 kV, and 132 kV) from initiation through testing and commissioning. The role requires full ownership of project execution, ensuring compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, contractual obligations, and client requirements across the UAE.

Key Accountabilities

• Managing the full project lifecycle, including design review, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of EHV underground cable systems.
• Coordinating closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely project execution.
• Reviewing project drawings, route surveys, specifications, and contract documents to ensure full technical and contractual compliance.
• Preparing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules, budgets, manpower, and resource allocation.
• Leading site teams and supervising cable laying, jointing, termination, and associated civil works (trenching, ducting, backfilling, etc.).
• Enforcing strict adherence to HSE policies, quality standards, and utility requirements.
• Identifying project risks, delays, and cost deviations, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Reviewing and approving technical submittals, material approvals, and progress reports.
• Chairing progress meetings and providing regular updates to senior management on milestones, financial status, and key challenges.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in EHV underground cable projects (400 kV / 220 kV / 132 kV).
• PMP certification is an advantage.
• Previous experience in the UAE or GCC is highly desirable.
• Strong technical knowledge of EHV cable systems, route design, installation methods, jointing, termination, and testing procedures.
• Familiarity with TRANSCO, DEWA, ADDC, ADNOC specifications, and international standards (IEC, BS).
• Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera, MS Office tools; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors effectively.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
