Project Manager Offshore Platform Construction

What we are looking for

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to lead the construction and commissioning of a sea-based platform with integrated accommodation and associated electrical and mechanical equipment. This is a critical role in a complex multidisciplinary project involving offshore construction, marine engineering and systems integration.

The role
  • Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of an offshore platform construction project in line with approved documentation, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements.
  • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle from planning and design through to procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
  • Coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and marine engineering specialists.
  • Oversee contractor and vendor management, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, safety standards and project milestones.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, regulatory authorities and project sponsors to ensure transparent communication and compliance with all applicable maritime and construction regulations.
  • Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery in a challenging marine environment.
  • Ensure all works comply with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards, particularly those relating to offshore operations and personnel accommodation.
What you bring
  • Degree – MSc in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline (Chartered status preferred).
  • Proven experience managing large‑scale offshore construction or marine infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of offshore platform design and construction techniques and integration of accommodation facilities.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems used in offshore environments, including power generation, HVAC, water treatment and fire protection systems.
  • Project Management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel to on‑site locations as required.
