Job Description
  • Administer contracts during the course of the work to ensure compliance with proposed design, material specifications, budget, contract, and schedule.
  • Review consultants submitted work products and recommend adjustments as appropriate.
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish the work, delegate responsibilities to his team.
  • Ensure availability 24/7 and immediate response for the emergency works.
  • Implement RTA general policy and maintenance and services management regarding maintenance and operation works.
  • Oversee preparing and implementation the annual plan for preventive maintenance and emergency maintenance, and coordination with the Safety Department with regard to safety matters.
  • Determine scope of work, prepare requests for proposals, evaluate proposals, and participate in the selection of consultants for projects.
  • Responsible for the schedule coordination, inter-RTA coordination, public relations; evaluate, recommend, and prepare contract change orders as necessary; review progress payments and recommend payment authorization.
  • Provide guidance and work supervision for other engineering and technical personnel as required by projects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Ensure that all Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental requirements pertaining to the project are in place and monitored as per the project management plan.
  • Ensure the coordination with the Stakeholders both internal and external to ensure all their requirements related to handover are fulfilled
  • Ensure full compliance for the quality/specification of the materials/products and work done and managing inspection/testing activities regularly during the implementation stages of the project.
  • Ensure the compliance of project handover in accordance with RTA project management policies and process
  • Ensure the list of snags and outstanding works is complete and properly followed up during the Defect Notification Period (DNP)
  • Implement use of new technologies, cost saving techniques/materials, improved safety procedures, and least disruptive RTA construction practices.
  • Develop material and equipment standards for new and existing RTA products/materials
  • Confer with other inter-departmental personnel and field forces representatives of other utilities, agencies, engineering firms’ contractors, and others regarding RTA service, supply, or related RTA civil/ engineering problems.
  • Conduct comprehensive utility engineering planning, design and operational studies of all utilities systems.
  • Review and check engineering drawings, plans, computations estimates and reports for completeness accuracy, and soundness of applied engineering principles, standards and policies used by the RTA.
  • Prepare projects documents including project justifications, budget analyses, calculations, plans, specifications cost estimates and schedules for the assigned projects.
  • Perform design work including researching data, conducting feasibility and economic studies and determining design criteria in accordance with the required standards and codes for assigned projects.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering from recognized university with PMP /Masters preferred.
  • Computer-literate performer with extensive software proficiency covering wide variety of applications
