Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading Landscaping Company based out of Abu Dhabi UAE. Our client is looking for an experienced Project Director to lead and oversee the construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for making sure all projects are completed on time within budget and meet clients quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Management
- Provide clear direction and strategy for all projects from start to finish.
- Ensure every project meets its contract promises, agreed-upon timelines, and approved budget.
- Guide and support Project Managers, helping them solve problems and set priorities.
- Review and approve project plans, designs, and resource schedules to set projects up for success.
Financial Oversight
- Closely monitor project budgets, costs, and spending to maintain profitability.
- Review and approve cost estimates, purchase orders, and subcontractor agreements.
- Make key decisions on buying materials and hiring subcontractors.
- Identify financial risks early and take action to protect the project’s budget.
Stakeholder & Client Relations
- Build and maintain strong positive relationships with clients, consultants, and partners.
- Resolve any major client concerns quickly and professionally.
- Represent the company in important meetings and negotiations.
Quality Health Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Ensure all safety, quality, and environmental rules are strictly followed on every project site.
- Conduct regular site inspections to check on safety and quality standards.
- Take immediate corrective action if any issues or non-compliance are found.
Team Management & Development
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of Project Managers, Engineers, and Supervisors.
- Identify training needs and help team members grow their skills.
- Foster a cooperative, responsible, and high-performing team culture.
Reporting & Coordination
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Review and approve progress reports, schedules, and performance updates for senior management.
- Coordinate effectively with all internal departments (HR, Procurement, Finance, etc.) to support project needs.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (required).
- 15 years of experience in the construction or engineering industry.
- 5 years of experience managing major construction projects.
- 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing teams and project strategy.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage large budgets and complex schedules.
- In-depth knowledge of quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
