About the Role

Project/Area Coordinator is responsible for overseeing scheduled activities during nuclear outages, which occur. The role ensures that maintenance and operational tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and within the planned timeline, with a strong focus on critical and near-critical path activities.

Key Responsibilities
Pre-Outage Phase
  • Readiness Follow‑Up: Follow up and challenge teams to ensure they are fully prepared for the upcoming outage in their area of specialization (Electrical/I&C).
  • Logistics Support: Assist in coordinating logistics and resolving issues related to electrical, I&C systems to ensure smooth readiness for outages.
  • Coordination for Readiness: Ensure resources, tools, and materials specific to the specialization are ready and in place before the outage begins.
Outage Phase
  • Activity Oversight: Oversee scheduled tasks within the scope, specializing in Electrical/I&C systems, using a 3‑day lookahead schedule to ensure readiness and timely execution.
  • Team Coordination: Ensure supervisors and technicians in the relevant discipline are briefed, prepared, and start activities on time. Address challenges specific to electrical, I&C tasks.
  • Client‑Contractor Interface: Act as the primary interface with the client, especially for critical or near‑critical path work, and work progress.
  • Progress Reporting: Report on the status of ongoing and completed activities within the specialization, with an emphasis on critical path milestones.
  • Priority Management Provide direction on task priorities, adjusting them as needed during the shift to accommodate emergent challenges or delays in Electrical/I&C systems.
  • Problem Solving: Collaborate with team leads and supervisors to resolve technical or logistical issues in the specialized area, escalating when needed to ensure timely resolution.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all Electrical/I&C activities adhere to safety protocols, industry regulations, and client‑specific requirements.
Non‑Outage Phase
  • Project Management Support: Assist the back office in planning and managing projects for nuclear and other projects.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to improvements based on lessons learned in electrical/I&C or systems from previous outages.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Support the preparation of technical reports and evaluations specific to the specialized area, aiding in continuous improvement and future outage readiness.
  • Team Preparation: Assist in preparing teams and resources for upcoming outages or projects.
