The Program Manager – Sustainable Growth will oversee the overall management of program funds and advisory initiatives that advance sustainable and resilient growth across the Global Majority. Based in Abu Dhabi, the role focuses on aligning programs with national development blueprints and addressing health, gender, education, climate, agriculture, and nutrition. The position bridges innovation, impact, and investment by supporting program management that leverages innovative financing approaches, strengthens government alignment, and mobilizes capital for long‑term inclusive growth. The ideal candidate brings strong program management, strategic thinking, and execution capabilities; sustainability and development expertise; and a proven ability to communicate and demonstrate measurable impact through collaborative systems‑level solutions.

Essential Functions
  • Develop detailed implementation plans, timelines, and budgets for sustainable growth programs ensuring delivery aligns with strategic objectives and coordinating cross‑functional workflows within the Sustainable Growth division.
  • Support the Director and Managing Partner in preparing materials for meetings, presentations, and partner updates.
  • Manage day‑to‑day execution of multiple programs and initiatives to ensure timely milestones.
  • Maintain shared resources (trackers, dashboards, and repositories) to improve team coordination and transparency.
  • Oversee program budgets, grants, and investment‑linked initiatives ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial management standards.
  • Establish streamlined processes and reporting mechanisms to ensure consistent high‑quality program management and delivery adhering to 500 Global branding, accuracy, and clarity standards.
  • Track progress against goals, budgets, and KPIs; prepare periodic reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and external partners.
  • Produce regular status updates and briefings to illustrate progress, budgets, results, and next steps.
  • Identify program risks or delays and proactively develop mitigation strategies to maintain momentum.
  • Incorporate lessons learned and best practices into ongoing program management to improve effectiveness and impact.
  • Support strategic advocacy, communications, and partnerships to amplify impact, innovation, and systems‑level change aligned with the Sustainable Growth practice.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 7 years of experience managing programs or projects in sustainability, innovation, or impact‑driven sectors, including experience working with governments or public‑private partnerships.
  • Proven track record managing multiple programs, funds, and/or advisory initiatives with measurable environmental and social impact.
  • Strong organizational planning and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in fast‑paced cross‑functional environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and partnership‑building skills across public, private, and non‑profit sectors.
  • Proficiency in program management tools and data reporting systems. Excellent presentation writing and visual communication skills; mastery of PowerPoint / Google Slides and Excel / Google Sheets required.
  • Strong ability to synthesize data and insights into actionable plans, monitor performance metrics, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Deep commitment to advancing sustainable and inclusive growth innovation and systems‑level impact in the Global Majority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare high‑quality reports, presentations, and strategic briefs; experience in advocacy or external engagement is an asset.
  • Fluent in English and at least one local or regional language (Arabic preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with innovative financing mechanisms such as blended finance, venture philanthropy, or catalytic capital.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g. Asana, Notion, Smartsheet).
  • Ability to craft and deliver compelling narratives, strategic briefs, and presentations that promote organizational impact and thought leadership.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences, write clear narratives, and represent the organization effectively across high‑level forums and partnerships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience leading cross‑functional teams and fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and accountability.
  • Basic proficiency in CRM or data‑tracking systems (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Fluency in additional languages such as Arabic is an asset.
  • Strong visual storytelling skills and familiarity with brand or design principles.
