Guardian Glass is seeking you to become our nextProduction Shift Supervisorat our Float Glass Facility in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

As a Production Supervisor, you are responsible for developing your team into a high performing unit while advancing our vision and culture. You will do this by recognizing the unique skillset of your team members and aligning them in a way that creates personal fulfillment and value for the company.

The Production Supervisor is also responsible for supervising and coordinating production efforts that result in sustained improvement in all associated work processes including Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), compliance, reliability, quality, production, and costs.

This role works arotating shift pattern

Our Team

You will join a team of shift managers, department managers, supervisors and process engineers that collaborate on a daily basis strategizing our priorities for the day.

The Production Supervisors encourage a one team on the field mentality, paying particular attention to their direct reports and general attention the workforce. This unified but dynamic team encourage the challenge process, open and honest communication and expects leadership support and feedback.

You will be part of the Float Line Team, working closely with the Operations and Engineering teams. Our division is dedicated to maintaining high standards of production efficiency and quality while fostering a collaborative and innovative environment

What You Will Do
  • Leading an operational team (8-10 employees) in a safe and efficient manner and to take ownership vision advancement, safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Driving safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively eliminate hazards. Providing safety training to crew members and deliver training materials in a meaningful approach.
  • Facilitating team development and communication, employee skill development, problem-solving and resolution, building employee commitment and ownership and holding employees accountable.
  • Monitoring product quality and provide direction to crew members to maximize efficiency.
  • Promoting employee involvement, providing coaching, feedback and direction as required.
  • Assisting with troubleshooting production issues.
  • Completing data entry responsibilities and generate reports in a timely and efficient manner
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports and ensuring the application of the individual performance development cycle .
  • Understand the cost of decisions and impact to departments and other processes
  • Meet or exceed KPI goals by demonstrating success in measuring and improving processes
  • Coordinate with other departments and managers to work as a team
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an operations environment.
  • Technical & Mechanical aptitude to learn a manufacturing process. Includes being logically minded and process orientated.
  • Experience in adapting to transformation and bringing change to the people, process, and company that will create the greatest value.
  • Experience in effectively articulating verbal and written messages, information, and ideas to a diverse group of people, leading to shared understanding.

  • Experience in leading or participating in continuous improvement projects.
